Our public outdoor listening session returned to Ebertplatz on June 30th, 2022 for a special about the newly published book “Dilla Time” by US-based writer Dan Charnas. dublab regulars C:Mone & Twit One teamed up for a 2 hour mix of samples, tracks and remixes by J Dilla, garnished with PB Louison reading selected passages from the book. Hot off the press the astonishing and meticulously researched publication depicts the life and music of Detroit-based producer James Dewitt Yancey aka JayDee.
