A little background 💡

dublab DE is a community radio broadcasting 24/7 from Cologne and elsewhere. What started as a free-time operation by our founder Joscha Creutzfeldt in 2015 has grown slowly but surely eversince. At this point in summer 2022 we run the radio with a team of 6 volunteers from our HQ in K-Nippes, host over 50 regular shows, and produce around 30 hours of original new content every week - all free of charge for everyone to enjoy. This takes up a significant amount of time, work, and fixed costs.

We want to continue creating freeform radio in the future, but we cannot fund this alone anymore. Our idea is to establish a fair and sustainable radio model, one not depending on cultural funding or sponsorships which come and go. To ask you, our listeners, to support us with a small monthly fee feels like the most upright and logical thing for us, so here we are. If you enjoy what we do and want to see us continue consider giving a little something back. Benefits included!

How does a support membership work?

Once registration is complete your account on this website is created instantly. Log-in to view your payment history, update your details, download donation receipts or cancel your membership.

Why support dublab with a monthly donation?
Your support goes towards a local, community generated radio that promotes curiosity, experimentation, inclusivity, and connection. Our airwaves allow space for diverse styles, eras, genres and music cultures to co-exist, and our DJs are empowered to freely play sounds they are passionate about, making each show distinct.
What do I get in return for my support?
Your monthly support comes with multiple benefits. You get 10% off all items in our shop (soon come), enjoy early access to new features, ticket sales, giveaways and downloads.
Can I listen to dublab.de if I am not a member?
Yes, always. We don't believe in paywalls, we believe that good people want to support initiatives they like and deem support-worthy. Free will and solidarity are key values for our radio, and we would not have it any other way.
What happens with the money?
We will use all donations to cover our ongoing expenses such as office & studio rent, GEMA licensing fees, or ISP & Server costs. Those ongoing expenses total to around 1000EUR every month. If we're able to cover those expenses we will start to pay our staff and radio hosts.
Are my donations tax-deductible, and do you provide receipts?
Yes. We provide receipts and all donations to us are fully tax deductible. dublab DE is part of the Come Together Projekt e.V., a registered non-profit organisation from Cologne. Once you made a donation we will email you a link to download your receipt in PDF format. If you are a member you can also access all donation receipts in PDF format through your account on this website.

You can access your account at anytime via our main menu or directly at dublab.de/account. Please keep in mind that an account on this website is only provided for dublab supporters after successful registration. If you signed up for a membership and experience technical difficulties related to your account please get in touch via support@dublab.de and we will sort this out straight away.
