With only a few weeks left in 2024 the Jazzkonferenz looks back on a turbulent year. Globally, nationally, and taking into consideration the recently announced budget cuts for cultural projects in Cologne – also locally. It’s not all doom and gloom though. Exciting releases, a plethora of glowing cultural events, concerts and initiatives – time to talk about it all. Our guests this month: Greek bassist Athina Kontou, journalist, DJ and radio presenter Maike de Buhr (WDR / Deutschlandfunk / Musikexpress), and WDR3 editor & presenter Niklas Rudolph.
