Information

Hi, how are you? On this month’s episode of Calling in a Favour, Julian is joined by visual artist Adam Helms. His work explores the history and archetypes of violence and rebellion, and can be found in the permanent collections of the MoMA, the Whitney, the Solomon R. Guggenheim museum,  and other major art institutions. Adam recently relocated to Cologne, and he invited Julian to his new studio to discuss American largesse, Mark Fisher, capitalist critique, hypes and trends in the art world and much more.

Plus: A tribute to late master songwriter Daniel Johnston by author Scott McClanahan (“The Sarah Book”, “The Incantations of Daniel Johnston”) and tracks by Silver Jews, Japan, Tim Hecker, Lightning Bolt, John Carpenter, and more.
